Individual Care

Perhaps you're having intrusive thoughts, emotions, reactions, or memories of negative life events.  This is often due to how the brain manages trauma.  The body, mind, and emotions all connect in the trauma, and remain reactive until the trauma is processed.  We cannot simply "get over it".  It needs to be processed, and there are many great ways to reduce, minimize, or resolve the effects of trauma.

We are not meant to walk through trauma alone.  I am here to walk with you in the journey toward restoration from trauma by guiding you through whole-person healing (body, mind, and spirit).

I provide a narrative-based, emotion-focused approach, so we explore how trauma has impacted your story and how to move forward into a story of freedom, peace, and meaningful life.  How this looks is different for every person, but some of how we do this through processing emotion, coping skills, noticing how trauma is playing out in the present, and sometimes using other methods like music, art, journaling, tapping/EMDR.

Group Care

Trauma often happens in a relational context.  Whether or not the trauma was relational in nature, it can have relational impact.  Group provides an accepting, secure space for healing in community.  Growth happens exponentially in group because of the power of relational healing that goes beyond what individual care can offer.

My groups focus on whole-person care, offering coping skills, processing the impact of trauma on each aspect of who we are, and provide a path for restoration from trauma.   We focus on the process of what is happening internally, how it is triggered, and the effects externally for a deep, lasting change.

Couples Care

As trauma is often relational in nature, it can have significant impact on your couple relationship.  You may experience the impact of trauma (whether couple trauma or individual trauma) in conflict, daily interaction, sexual intimacy, and emotional connectedness.  The coupleship can be a great source of healing as you learn, process, and grow together on the path of restoration.  Couples working through trauma together helps you understand how trauma is affecting you individually and as a couple, and helps you more deeply connect in the process of healing for a more satisfying and meaningful relationship.
